Do you have cyber skills and want to make a real impact?
If you’ve ever wondered how the private sector could be better leveraged during major cyber incidents—or how you could play a meaningful role—this event was built for you.
We are at a critical turning point. Incredible cyber capabilities exist across the private sector, government, and nonprofit communities, yet we still lack a unified framework to mobilize them effectively at scale. That changes now.

Join us for a first‑of‑its‑kind experience focused on building a common Incident Command System (ICS) for cyber response through Civilian Reserve ISAC.

At this event, you will:
· Learn exactly how ICS can transform your cyber response approach—and finally bridge the coordination gap between companies, government, and critical infrastructure partners.
· Discover how to earn nationally recognized credentials, preparing you to contribute confidently during real-world cyber incidents.
· Engage directly with CR‑ISAC leadership, the team building a nationwide civilian cyber reserve capable of supporting federal surge operations when it matters most.
· Gain clarity, connection, and mission-ready skills that allow you to step off the sidelines and into the arena.
If you’re feeling the urgency to get trained, get involved, and stand ready to help your community and country during a major cyber event—don’t miss this.

Be part of the movement to build cyber resilience. Your skills matter. Your participation matters. The time is now.

Zero Distraction. Pure Execution.

This is not a networking event.
This is not a pitch night.
This is not a workshop.

This is deep work.

Founder Focus is a dedicated execution session designed for builders, founders, creators, and operators who need uninterrupted time to move the needle on what actually matters.

At Startup Quarters, we’re creating a high-performance environment engineered for clarity, momentum, and real progress.

What This Is:

2–3 hours of structured, distraction-free work

A room full of serious builders in execution mode

Calm, focused atmosphere

Intentional accountability

Zero small talk during work blocks

What This Is NOT:

❌ No sales calls

❌ No pitching

❌ No random coffee chats

❌ No “quick questions”

❌ No bullshit

When you walk in, you’re here to build.

Who It’s For:

  • Startup founders
  • Technical builders
  • Indie hackers
  • Designers
  • Writers
  • Students in serious build mode
  • Anyone tired of “busy” and ready for progress

Business – Bowling – Billiards – Happy Hour

If you live in San Diego, you’ve probably heard how amazing Hotel Lafayette is. And if you haven’t, this is a perfect excuse to come check it out with a great group of people.

Inside Hotel Lafayette is The Gutter — a retro-cool hangout with a two‑lane bowling alley, billiards, arcade‑style video games, and a happy hour from 5–8 PM, Monday through Thursday, which makes this an easy, relaxed after‑work meetup.

We’ve already hosted a smaller, low‑promotion event here and had a great time. It’s exactly the kind of place our community naturally gravitates toward, and it’s somewhere we plan to keep coming back to.
When we hosted this last time, we advertised bowling — but over 90% of people mostly wanted to hang out, grab a drink, and meet new people. So think of this as a very casual, come‑as‑you‑are meetup, with bowling as an optional bonus.

How Bowling Works at Hotel Lafayette

If you want to bowl, here’s how it works: The Gutter has two bowling lanes. A lane is $50 for a full hour, which includes shoes, balls, and everything you need. Lanes can be reserved up to one week in advance via OpenTable. If you reserve a lane in advance, I’m happy to list you as sponsoring the lane. I’ll create a simple sign‑up so people can rotate through and bowl with you. They also keep one lane reserved for walk‑ins, so if you decide day‑of that you want to bowl, you can try grabbing it when you arrive. If bowling isn’t your thing, no problem at all — The Gutter also has pool tables, arcade games, and plenty of space to just hang out, grab a drink, and actually have conversations.

The Vibe

This is a low‑pressure, no‑agenda meetup. No panels. No pitches. No presentations. Just a good crowd of people across industries — founders, investors, operators, creatives, and professionals — hanging out in one of the most unique spots in San Diego. Come for 20 minutes or stay the whole night. Bowl, play pool, or just post up with a drink and meet new people. We’re making this one 3 hours to make it easy for people getting off work to stop by whenever convenient

Parking Notes

Parking around Hotel Lafayette can take a little planning: Free street parking is available in nearby neighborhoods (limited). Metered parking is available and stops charging at 6 PM. Paid valet parking is also available at the hotel
