StartupSD Convergence is a series of events to celebrate and connect local entrepreneurs. We’ve clustered some of our favorite events into a couple compact days that will be both fun and helpful to the community.

SCHEDULE:
Thursday, Jan. 22nd
4:30-5:30 Community Orientation (tour & chat)
Brief tour of the hub of the downtown startup scene, followed by an honest chat about all the various groups, activities, programs around town.

5:30-6:30 Poker 2.0 
The best un-networking event in town! Come play a friendly game of Texas Hold’em poker and meet solid startups and investors.

Friday, Jan. 23rd
3:00-5:00 Domain Expert Hours
30 minute 1-on-1 meetings with experts in various fields (legal, marketing, design, HR, PR, etc.). Sign-up for access.

5:30-8:30 SD Startup Crawl
Our the growing downtown Startup scene, hopping between cool startup digs with some snacks, drinks and awesome company. Several tours will end at the hub for a larger celebration.

Saturday, Jan. 24th
10:00-11:00 Successful Interning
Come hear how to get the most out of an internship at a startup from both interns and local CEOs that are currently hiring.

11:00-1:00 Startup Internship Fair
The top startups in town are looking for the strongest candidates to join their growing businesses. Immediate and summer positions available (most paid). Lunch provided. Student / Company sign-up required. See site for details…

1:30-3:00 Mentor Hours (Students & Student Companies)
Speed-dating for startups & students. Rapid mentor sessions between students and successful entrepreneurs and investors. Sign-up for access.

3:00-5:00 Mentor Hours (Full-time Startups)
Speed-dating for startups & students. Rapid 30-minute mentor sessions between serious startups and successful entrepreneurs and investors. Sign-up for access.

3:00-5:00 Startup Foosball Tournament
A little friendly rivalry never hurt! Hangout with fellow entrepreneurs and students while we play some Foosball and Cornhole.

6:00-8:00 Demo Night
Come check out some of the hottest companies in town as they share what the are working on and their recent successes. (separate sign-up)
