The Rise of the Middle Powers

November 5 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Why attend?

Please join us for an in-person-only presentation from Ambassador Dino Patti Djalal and moderated chat with UC San Diego Professor Krislert Samphantharak.

What role do middle powers play in shaping today’s shifting global order? Ambassador Dino Patti Djalal, Indonesian Ambassador to the U.S. (2010–2013) and founder of the Foreign Policy Community of Indonesia, will explore how countries beyond the traditional superpowers are rising in influence — driving diplomacy, forging alignments and redefining global leadership in an era of uncertainty.

This public lecture series is organized by the Peter F. Cowhey Center on Global Transformation at the UC San Diego School of Global Policy and Strategy (GPS). For more information on center activities, please visit ccgt.ucsd.edu.

If you have any questions, please contact GPS Events Coordinator Curtis Bruno.
