Supply Chain Management in Latin America

May 4 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Latin America is an increasingly important global supply chain hub. However, navigating this region’s diverse currencies, complex geopolitics, inconsistent infrastructure and economic risks poses a major challenge for managers and policymakers alike.

To explore these challenges and opportunities, GPS’s Cowhey Center for Global Transformation, in partnership with the Rady School of Management, is hosting an in-person panel discussion on supply chain management in Latin America.

The panel features two of the world’s most knowledgeable and experienced experts on the topic: David Price, the CEO of one of Latin America’s leading retailers, PriceSmart; and Eduardo Acosta, vice president of R.L. Jones Customhouse Brokers, a major customs and logistics management for U.S.-Latin American import and export. This event will give students an opportunity to learn how some companies are successfully managing these challenges and what their experiences suggest for commercial opportunities in Latin America.

This public lecture series is organized by the Peter F. Cowhey Center on Global Transformation at the UC San Diego School of Global Policy and Strategy (GPS) in partnership with the UC San Diego Rady School of Management. For more information, please visit ccgt.ucsd.edu and rady.ucsd.edu.
