​Just got back from the AI Dev SF conference. 3,000+ people, two days of sessions on agents, voice AI, dev tools, and more. I’m stoked to try and funnel some of that here.

​☕ The format

​Casual meetup with laptops, at The Template. A super rad 4.8-star coffee shop in OB, two blocks from the beach.

​I’ll try to greet everyone, but if I miss you, come say hi. Lucas, big friendly dude, dark beard & short curly hair. I’ll ask a few Q’s so I can categorize your interests and make sure you get what you need.

​This event is a human-in-the-loop recursive agent.

​All g If you’d rather be a fly on the wall. Absolutely no presh.

​🧱 The flow

​We open with a casual hangout and chat about what’s new, what we’re trying, and how we are building.

​Then we pick something fun to work on.

​Example: I went to AI On the Lot, the Gen AI video conference, where we worked on mock previews for pretend movies. We made Zombie Cats. Silly. Also freaking awesome.

​Come see what else we have lined up, or suggest your own. We’ll have Claude Code and Codex learning-oriented projects, and you can pitch ideas too.

​Then we break into build zones. Pick a zone, solo, pair, or team up, ship something small, or start something big. My friends and I float around helping.

​Whoever would like, we’ll have optional show-and-tells about what we worked on, 3 minutes each, followed by quickfire 15-second rounds for anyone with an intro, ask, or announcement.

Then hang, vibe, network till 2.

​We record and stream the whole thing on X and YouTube. Raw recordings get uploaded, unedited. A follow-up email goes out within the week with download links so you can have everything.

​OB on Saturday is poppn. The lot right next to The Template has a $5/4hrs deal for our guests – normally $30. Code drops in your Luma reminder before the event.
