Building an Accessible Community
Kylin Follenweider has ~20 years in tech, primarily in IT and Software Product Management. She began disability enablement around the same time by volunteering with adaptive ski programs. In 2021, she received a Master’s in Human-Computer Interaction Design (HCID) from UCI. These days, she volunteers as a user researcher and content writer for Accessible Community, a non-profit building disability-inclusive communities through socially responsible technology.

A11Y Essentials: Models of disability and their impact
Formerly a security professional, David Martin has taken the leap to Accessibility and today is responsible for ensuring Intuit’s offerings meet accessibility laws globally. He has had great success leveraging his knowledge of implementing security controls to make good things happen for accessibility and does advocacy work for persons with disability through multiple organizations.

About the Location
We’ll be meeting at ServiceNow Building C – Del Mar meeting room.
- Enter the building from the East side. The building is not labeled Building C. The address is 4820 Eastgate Mall. There is a reception/lobby ambassador desk where attendees will check in.
- Go towards the glass doors (key card access only), and make a left towards Del Mar.
- The meeting room entrance is the first door on the left. The gender-neutral restroom is past the first door.
