Christopher Land is a Principal User Experience Designer with Oracle and co-organizer of a11ySD. Chris has experience in training, coding, design, UX and enterprise systems. He sees digital accessibility as crucial in providing people with disabilities an unprecedented level of independence.

Accessibility monitoring and supporting content owners in continuous improvement

Jenn Dandle is the Web Manager for the UC San Diego Library and focuses on user experience and accessibility for the vast array of users who utilize the tools are vital to research and student support. She champions accessibility across the UC system by inspiring others through her service on the Digital Accessibility Council. When she is not living out her passions at work you can find her enjoying all the great things San Diego has to offer including sled hockey and surfing.

Mobile App Accessibility Basics

Rachael Yomtoob discovered their passion for accessibility while working on a project team at the University of Michigan that developed an Android application to provide indoor navigation for people with visual disabilities. They joined the mobile team at Deque in 2018 as a web developer where they got to learn about both mobile and web accessibility before transitioning to a product owner and now developer advocate. Aside from being a digital accessibility professional, Rachael is a proud cat parent to three fur babies and enjoys spending their free time at hot yoga classes or diamond painting.

Exploring the crossroads of marketing and accessibility to build more accessible products and reach the blind community

You will learn about how marketing can help organizations build more accessible products and reach people with disabilities, focusing on the blind community. Blake Steinecke has dynamic experience in assisting accessibility, assistive technology, education companies, and others to achieve success through accessibility and marketing. All the while, he infuses his life experience – having undergone vision loss – with content creation skills and a career in sales, marketing, and technology through his consulting and speaking work.
