You’ll also learn common pitching mistakes founders make and how to avoid them to increase your chances of making a lasting impression.
About the Speaker:
Misti Cain | Investor & Venture Partner, Techstars |Ā LinkedIn
Misti Cain is an investor and Venture Partner for Techstars Anywhere and a TEDx speaker. Prior to Techstars, Misti was the founder of Whyzze (āwiseā) ā a strategy agency helping startups going through (or recently completing) a merger or acquisition create and implement their people and process action plans.
In addition, sheās a board member and Executive in Residence for Cal State University San Marcos. Fun fact: Misti was the host of business reality show Werrrk! by Mailchimp Presents and Scout Productions (creators of the new Queer Eye). Her passion is helping entrepreneurs succeed.

This event is located on the first floor of theĀ Design and Innovation Building (DIB). The entrances are located across from theĀ Structural Materials and Engineering buildingĀ or next to theĀ UC San Diego Central Campus StationĀ bus and trolley stop.

The easiest way to get to the DIB is by taking the MTS trolley UC San Diego Blue Line and getting off at the UC San Diego Central Campus stop. The trolley stop is a short 1 minute walk to the DIB.
Parking
Public transportation is highly recommended as parking is limited on campus. If you plan to drive to campus, please give yourselfĀ plentyĀ of time. You can download theĀ ParkMobileĀ app to pay for your space digitally once you find a spot.
