MICROFLUIDICS MANUFACTURING: FROM PROTOTYPING TO SCALABLE PRODUCTION
Microfluidic technology has revolutionized diagnostics and pharmaceutical research by enabling precise fluid control at the microscale. However, scaling up the manufacturing of these devices presents unique challenges. This talk provides a comprehensive introduction to microfluidic manufacturing, covering the three primary materials—polymers, silicon, and glass—and the mainstream fabrication techniques for each. We will explore the transition from prototyping to volume production, key backend processes, and emerging trends shaping the future of microfluidics.
This event is part of the IEEE San Diego Section’s PDH series at the Del Mar Electronics and Manufacturing Show (Apr 23 – 24).
